About this Item

People call me the painter of dancing girls, " said Edgar Degas, and during his career he created more than a thousand beautiful ballet pictures. Working behind the scenes at the Paris Opera, watching the young students called petits rats, Degas discovered that ballet training was very much like creating art: It takes hard work and hours of practice. With more than thirty of Degas' original artwork in full color, this biography of one of the world's greatest artists truly offers an invitation to the dance. A beautiful book for girls who love ballet. ; 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Bookseller Inventory # 002188
