Synopsis: Anchored in the thought of John Henry Newman and inspired by the documents of the Second Vatican Council, The Democratic Church is the first book that establishes a prodemocracy consensus among contemporary theologians. It has a foreword by Gregory Baum, O.S.A., and an imprimatur by Archbishop William E. Cousins of Milwaukee. The Democratic Church sets the stage for Vatican III.
