Second latin edition of this geographical and historical description of all nations and parts of the world. It was first published in Leiden 1655, and a third was published in 1670. It was translated into German (1658) and Italian (1660). It is mainly a compilation of Davity?s ?Les etats.? It is divided in 12 parts. The first part is a short geographical description, the second is a general economic part with each country?s natural resources, and the following parts describes each nations history, religion, customs of the native inhabitants etc. Part 3 about Spain is after Pierre d?Avity, part 4 is about Gallia, part 5 Anglia and Scotia, 6 Italia, 7 Germania, 8 North Europe (Scandinavia and Poland), 9 the hanseatic league, 10 Moscovia with Russia, Turkey, Greece, Arabia, Norht Africa and Persia, 11 with India, China and Japan, and part 12 is about America (pp. 1115-1156). The pencil notations is in the chapter of families in England. Lucas de Linda (1625-60) was a Polish traveller and secretary of the republic of Dantzig.
