Complete title: Description of The Early Printed Books Owned By The Grolier Club With A Brief Account of Their Printers and The History of Typography In the Fifteenth Century. Stated 'The Publication Committee of the Grolier Club certifies that this copy of "A Description of The Early Printed Books Ownd By The Grolier Club" is one of an edition of four hundred copies on hand-made paper, and three copies on vellum, the printing of which was completed in the month of May, 1895.' Cream cloth over boards. Leather spine. Cream color cloth is rubbed, worn and soiled. Very small stain spot on front. 1-1/2 inch pencil mark on front. Leather spine has gilt lettering. Leather spine is worn and rubbed, more so on the edges and top and bottom. Bottom portion of text pages are slightly stained and wrinkled due to moisture of some sort. Previous owners name plates (2) affixed to inside of front hard cover. Twenty-five wood-cut(?) 'facsimile' illustrations. Contents: A Catalog of Early Printed Books - Mainz, Strassburg, Cologne, Augsburg, Nuremberg, Ulm, Eichstadt, Basle, Venice, Paris, Westminster, Haarlem, Bibliographical Index, Index of printers, List of Towns. && numbered pages.
