Octavo. 212p. illustrated with photographs. Printed in a small print run this work was published two years after his death in the notorious Nasawam Prison. He was not only a great Ghanaian statesman and Pan-Africanist, he is credited with giving Ghana its name. He received his doctorate in law from the University of London in 1927. He along with Kwama Nkruma were arrested in 1948 after the Gold Coast riots but once Nkruma rose to power, J.B. Danquah was arrested in 1964 and Danquah died the next year after maltreatment. One of the most important documents on the denial of human rights to a humanitarian leader. Bound in pink paper covered boards lettered in black, backed in red cloth, some fading to covers.
