Octavo in tan cloth covered boards with printed paper title lable front cover. 124 pp. Frontispiece portrait engraving of Roebling. Extremely scarce. Privately printed translation of the journey to the U.S. of the patriarch of the Roebling family of cable manufacturing and bridge building fame. Johann (John) A. Roebling was famed for his design of wire rope suspension bridges, particularly the Brooklyn Bridge and Cincinnati-Covinton Bridge. Fine, slight bump to the fore edge of the front cover.
