A good, clean, sturdy set over all with moderate exterior shelf wear, cloth worn through to extremities, back strip cloth starting to fray at top and bottom edges; hinges and binding solid, paper just lightly yellowed, a previous owner's name on the front endpaper, fore-edges darkened. Note: the first volume has the most wear, and given fraying to the cloth at the corners, and spine edges, and front hinge broken, can be graded at fair only, but the set is better overall.
