Bulletin 46 of the Bureau of American Ethnology. Very good, ex-library copy. This was a Library of Congress duplicate, and has Smithsonian Institute Libraries withdrawn stamps. Byington died in 1868, after living among the Choctaws as a missionary for almost 50 years (1819-1868). John R. Swanton and Henry S. Halbert edited the volume in its present form. Evidence of card pocket removal on rear pastedown. Cloth worn at spine ends, and slight shelf wear along bottom edge of boards. Green cloth, with gilt lettering and decorations on spine, the gilt being somewhat dulled. 611 pages. A tight, square copy. Bookseller Inventory # 001310
