About this Item

16mo. Orange pictorial wrappers. viii, 94pp, (6pp ads). Good plus. Chipped at head and tail of slim spine, but overall fairly attractive, clean and handleable; usual delicacy and usual even age toning. Interesting, eclectic collection of short oratorical speeches from authors today largely obscure. Exceptional condition, given the low-quality paper on which these were printed; largely free of the edge tears and edge chips that plague these publications. Cover title "Beadle's Dime Youth's Speaker," No. 16 of this series. Fun front wrapper graphic of a shield-wielding knight waving his sword. A "penny dreadful" spinoff. Bookseller Inventory # 30974
