About this Item

First Edition. Signed and inscribed by the author, Lloyd C. Douglas: ÒHorace McCoy should have stayed home. Lloyd C. Douglas.Ó The inscription refers to DouglasÕ fellow writer Horace McCoyÕs classic Hollywood mystery novel, I Should Have Stayed Home. McCoy is best remembered for his classic thirties novel, They Shoot Horses, DonÕt They?, a hardboiled portrait of depression era dance marathons. Near fine sound copy with just a faint hint of fading to the spine and a couple of tiny edge nicks in a very good lightly dust soiled price-clipped dust jacket with some small tears and tiny chips. Disputed Passage was made into a fine film directed by Frank Borzage, starring Dorothy Lamour. Bookseller Inventory # 14157E
