Description:

Pem Farnsworth was the first person to witness electronic television, an invention of her husband, Philo T. Farnsworth. Unfortunately, she passed away on April 27, 2006, at age 98, and was buried in Provo, Utah cemetery next to her husband. After Phil's death in the early 1970's she devoted a good portion of her life attempting to get her husband the recognition he deserved. Philo Farnsworth is one of the 2 Utah representatives in Statuary Hall in Washington DC. Dust jacket now housed in archival quality cover. Signed on the ffep as follows: "Best Wishes/ Elma 'Pem' Farnsworth" ; not personalized to anyone. A very nice copy. Purchased directly from the author during her lifetime by the seller.
