Wiley (1906-80, prolific Civil War scholar), Bruce Catton (1899-1978, Pulitzer prize-winning Civil War historian), Benjamin P. Thomas (1902-56, Lincoln biographer), Ezra J. Warner (1910-74, Civil War author), Joseph T. Durkin (Civil War scholar), and Paul B. Freeland. Civil War scholar E.B. Long (1919-81) also signs, as do two others.
