Light bluish gray cloth hardcover with illustration and lettering in black on front, black lettering on spine. This is clean but with a v shaped chip out of the top spine at the back, along with a small hole at the front spine about a half inch down, and light spine end wear. There are scrapes along the top edges of the boards, light bump to back top corner, light rubbing along bottom edge. The dust jacket is chipped at the top right corner and top spine with lighter chips at bottom spine. Please refer to my photo. Jacket is clean and protected with plastic, price clipped. The back panel is complete, no chips, with a picture of author and a writeup on him. Bookplate on front pastedown with and an erased name I can't make out on front free endpaper. Otherwise, the interior is tight, clean, paper nice, a good many striking illustrations in black and white by Gergely. Endpapers are brown with very nice drawings of dogs.
