The Doll Scene

Brigitte Coovert lives in Florida and is the founder of Zombuki, a beautiful series of exclusive customized dolls. Zombuki comes from the fusion of the words zombie and kabuki, a concrete style of traditional Japanese theater characterized by dramatic and elaborate makeup on the actors. Her work has been featured in publications and art galleries, including the Japanese American National Museum and The Valley of the Dolls, in Los Angeles. Coovert also designs jewelry and fanzines.
