About this Item

Stated First Edition with the yellow top outer edge to the pages and $5.95 price on the dust jacket. Very clean, bright and tightly bound. Faults: Sunfade ro the lower 1/2 inch of the spine and slight sun fade to the top edge of the covers. Owner's label on the inner cover (about 5/8 inch by 1-1/2 inches). Also, the owner attached period newspaper articles to the inner covers with a small amount of scotch tape. I have detached the articles from the back inner cover with no peeling. However, an article on the front inner cover has about an inch of tape left that is starting to pull on the red paper, so I have left it intact. The dust jacket is very clean and crisp with a 1/4 inch closed tear on the back upper panel, else the edges are unworn but for a very slight wear to the top of the spine. The newspaper articles are: The Feb. 25, 1968 "New York Times Book Review" front page review by Robert K. Merton; The March 3, 1968 review by Philip Knauf in the "(Boston) Sunday Herald Traveler"; The March 16, 1968 review by John Lear in the "Saturday Review"; and an undated, (but around 1968) article by Victor McElheny - "Harvard's Watson challenged - Scientists Argue Motivation" (about Hans Krebs).
