Shaw Desmond (1877-1960) was a novelist and dramatist, but was most dedicated to the occult and spirituality - as was William Butler Yeats. This is a Good only copy of the First Edition of his book on the Irish Revolution, and is scarce in the trade. Green cloth binding with gilt lettering. The covers are rubbed and with a moderate amount of soiling. This is an ex-libris copy, but with fairly minimal treatments: blindstamp, a few pencil notations, pocket in the rear. Both gutters are cracked, and the first two endpapers are disbound but present. Covers are faded and the spine is a bit sunned. Please note the condition issues.
