About this Item

Group of six books by or about Norwegian writer, Knut Hamsun, from the library of Henry Miller. The Cultural Life of Modern America is inscribed to Henry Mille by a friend. Two of the books are in German, including a paperback, Mysterien, which has an afterword by Henry Miller. Also included here is a nice copy in DJ of The Women at the Pump in DJ and a worn first U.S. Edition copy of Dreamers, 1921. With the exception of the book inscribed to HM, the books are unmarked as being from his library, although we did acquire the whole group as part of his library which was sold at auction.
