(1959). Amour's recollections of his grandparenst' and parents' Pomona, California drug store from about 1912 to 1918. Armour became later in life a professor of English at Scripps College in nearby Claremont, CA. Inscribed by Armour to his friend and fellow Scripps English professor colleague Joseph Arnold Foster and his wrife: "For Joe & Sally Foster, this bit of Americana or --------- (unreadable), with every good wish of one who left the mortar & pestle for the mortarboard.
