This most attractive botanical copper engraving is from Buchoz's 'Collection Colori�e des plus belles vari�t�s de Tulipes' in his supplement to the work Collection des Fleurs de la Chine & de l'Europe, & de tout l'Ouvrage. Buchoz or Buc'hoz (1731-1807) was born in Metz. At the age of 28, he was appointed physician to the King of Poland, but left his post to pursue his interest in botany. Mount size: 495 x 375 mm. Copper engraving. Original colour. Fine condition.
