Both magazines measure 8 1/2 by 11 inches. 96, 98 pp. Two issues of the science fiction magazine, Analog, notable for containing the first appearance in print of 'Dune World,' by Frank Herbert, eventually published in book form under the title 'Dune.' These issues feature the first and third (and final) installment of the story. Lacking is the second part, published in the January 1964 issue. GOOD condition. The December issue has heavy foxing to the front cover, with minor to moderate foxing to the rear. Minor soiling and toning. Wrappers split and chipped at the head and tail of the spine. Minor creasing. Interior solid with minor toning to the paper and some foxing to the first and last few pages, mostly along the extremities. The February issue has minor fading and creasing to the covers, with minor foxing and a faint, small dampstain to the rear cover. Some chipping and tearing to the head of the spine, with a small piece missing from the lower rear corner. Tail of the spine chipped, having minor loss.
