This cursive inscription is found on flyleaf: "Carrie W. Morrison, From, Uncle Jim, Dec. 25th, 1874. Prize in Music." Beautifully done volume with gilt/black decorative spine. Cover has border in black on green cloth background. Spine's stitching is tight and unbroken. The book has title story plus: "The Light of the World", The Sculptor's Lesson, The Spirit of Song, The White Rose of Deerham, and The Roman Painter and His Model. Extremities of spine are slightly chipped. Otherwise the book is in remarkably good condition. Bookseller Inventory # 001233
