About this Item

Original red cloth covers with gilt lettering and decorations on the front cover and spine. The spine is lightly worn on the tips, very slightly discolored, but the binding is in very good condition, tight, and solid. 403 numbered pages. There is an inscription on the front fly leaf dated December 25th, 1901. This remarkable novel begins with the suicide of an overworked farm wife and the struggles of a new young preacher, William Boise. This is a very nice copy of this unusual work.
