Vintage original 10 x 13" (25 x 33) black-and-white double weight glossy silver gelatin print still photo, USA. Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Morgan, Tom Drake, Selena Royle, Harry Davenport, Catherine McLeod, dir: Fred M. Wilcox. MGM. Though one of the MGM "Lassie" films, the original title for this film (indicated on the typed blurb on the verso) was HOLD THE HIGH TORCH, an original screenplay by Lionel Houser. Oddly, the collie in the film was never referred to as Lassie. Taylor, who was featured in the earlier LASSIE COME HOME did not play the same character in this new story. According to the text, the cast and crew ventured to location to Lake Chelen, Washington for two months of filming sometime late in 1945 (when Taylor was 13) and because of War-era work shortages, she was required to pitch-in and help out with all tasks on the set beyond playing her role. She, her mother and Lassie camped out on the set for two months. Here, she and Lassie help out the film's cook. Still is dated Feb. 1946 and is stamped "1339x46". Only minor corner wear. FINE.
