London: Prined for G. Strahan et al, 1736, Third Edition. A very good quarto edition, approx 9" X 13", in the original calf binding with six raised bands on the spine and with gilt spine lettering. The front panel is attached but just starting, with text clean and bright and a previous owner's bookplate on the front pastedown. This is the first collected edition of the three books published by Nicolson, Bishop of Derry in the Church of Ireland, in 1696-99 (British), 1702 (Scottish), and 1724 (Irish). He calls it a "comprehensive bibliography of printed and manuscript materials on English history,". Bookseller Inventory # 8560
