RARE FIRST EDITION, AND AN EXCEPTIONAL COPY of this collection of Hearn's essay on American literature primarily extracted from the Times-Democrat and from The Item. Not surprisingly the work is especially strong in relation to Southern American literature, and specifically New Orleans.
