Light green boards with black titles and decoration. Pasted down picture of windmill and pond on front. Edge and corner wear along with aging and soiling. Interior pages are evenly (and fully browned) fromcheap paper. The book is square but there is paper loss on the front inner hinge with some parting, though the front has not separated. This book was cheaply printed and somewhat fragile. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 63 pages; This is a scarce book about the Salzburger settlement at Ebenezer Georgia. Today, Ebenezer is a ghost town (of sorts) near Savannah. This book purports to be the translation of some papers the author found in an old trunk. It is a kind of novelistic history in which the Indian Tomochichi saves two settlers from a Spanish deserter. There is no date but I would guess that the book comes from the early 20th century. This is a rare Georgia-related title. Not in DeRenne or NUC. Bookseller Inventory #
