Synopsis: This story opens in 1961 and, right away, the reader discovers that peace and violence, beauty and evil, can co-exist in the same place, casting a contradiction into every story. Mike appears to be a sweet and innocent three-year-old boy but, at his core, is an unfathomable wickedness, with his younger brother, Jerry, squarely in his sights. Follow the family through years of tribulation as they are beset with one catastrophe after another.
From the Author: Eden Fading is my first book. My father died two years ago, and at that time, my younger brother began to speak to me about writing our life stories. These are a collection of stories that listeners have always doubted, and we have even begun to question ourselves, with each telling over the years. I didn't mind the idea of writing, but it had always been something I didn't have the drive or patience for. My brother persisted until I finally relented, and began the year-long process. As good as I thought my memories pf those long-ago events were , I am very thankful to my Mom and three brothers for the details needed to make each story full and vibrant--and hopefully, entertaining to the reader.
