Three are on stiff boards: 10.75 x 6.75, 11 x 7, 9 x 6.75 w/ no folders, remainder are in folders: 11.25 x 7, 11 x 7 (2), 9.5 x 6.5, 11 x 6, photographic images are between 6 x 4 and 7 x 5. The two larger stiff boards are heavily soiled and smaller board has chipping and soiling on reverse, folders are worn, soiled, torn, couple of photos in folders have soiling and one is lacking a tissue guard. The photographers are: Litynski Bros., 402 E. Canfield Ave, 1150 Chene St., Detroit; W.E. Litynski Studios, same addresses as previous; Litynski-Jakubowski, Detroit, Mich; Litynski-Jakubowski Co., 399 E. Canfield, 1150 Chene, 1525 Michigan, Detroit (two photos with this listing, Litynski is spelled with a "T" on one); Balloun & Prusinski, 1150 Chene St., 402 E. Canfield St., Detroit; Jos. Sowinski, 376 Canfield Ave. E. Detroit, Mich; F.G. Poli, 234 Randolph St., Detroit. There are five bride and groom photos, one bride and groom w/ attendants and remainder are brides with attendants. None of the subjects are identified. Clothing reflects the early 20th century. According to Detroit city directories Litynski-Jakubowski Co. occupied those addresses in 1915 but were gone by 1919; Ballaun & Prusinski occupied their premises in 1919, Sowinski was at his address in 1903 as was F.G. Poli. Detroit had a large number of Polish families, many living in the area bordered by E. Canfield, Garfield, Orleans and St. Aubin which contained homes, businesses and Catholic churches.
