About the Author: Robert L. Perkins+ (Ph.D., Indiana University), Professor Emeritus and Senior Research Professor of Philosophy at Stetson University, was an international authority on the Danish Philosopher Søren Kierkegaard and series editor of the 24-volume International Kierkegaard Commentary. Prior to his long career at Stetson, Bob was founder and department chair (for 16 years) of the Philosophy Department at the University of South Alabama. His research interests in Kierkegaard provoked his studies in ethics, contemporary philosophy, and ancient philosophy.
