Strong, Theodore L. Cuyler, etc. "Writers of Selected Chapters" include: J. C. Ryle, Alexander McLaren, William E. Gladstone, etc. One distinctively unique feature of the book is the "List of Illustrations - 24 Photographic Reproductions of The World's Celebrated Paintings." All of these are in pristine condition prefacing the actual body of the book's text messages. The list of reference authors with whom Tenney consulted or read is extensive in back of the book.
