Harding trained John Ruskin who in turn acknowledged Harding as the finest exponent of the art of drawing foliage in Europe. First published in 1834. James Harding died in 1863. Good with some wear to corners but with the gilt intact on front and spine and decorated blind-stamping clear and generally clean. Bookseller Inventory # 46132
