xv +151 pages, Original binding designed by Benson in fair/good condition, as usual for this book there is some staining & fading, Contents Good & very tight copy. some foxing present throughout. Inscription to half title page "Geoffrey from his father Oct 1893" ** see below. Apart from inscription, showing hardly any signs of being read. contains many illustrations through-out, within the text. ** Purchased at a Castle Howard sale many years ago (1991?), so father would be the Artist & Aristocrat: George Howard, 9th Earl of Carlisle (who had many friends within the Pre-Raphaelite movement, especially William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones and knew W.A.S. Benson). He had eleven children, the fifth son, Geoffrey William Algernon Howard , who on the break-up of his father's estates, inherited Castle Howard. 13 x 20cm Approx.
