OCLC lists the author as James Rennie or Charles Knight. The introduction notes that this volume is revised and abridged from material published by the British Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge. I could not identify such a book so it may have appeared in magazines such as Knight's Library of Entertaining Knowledge. Original cloth, Family Library Series No. 164. 4x6 inches. #.
