Book Description Harpvale Limited, England, 1984. Woven Cloth Hardcover. Book Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good-. First Edition. 216 pages. Brown lettering on the spine and front cover. Dust jacket is protected in Brodart, is badly worn for the first inch at the top of the spine, with light wear to the top edge and the top front corner. A fine copy of this study of Frink's sculpture from student works in the 1940s, to the date of publication. Major works in their settings are explored in more detail in the 64 pages of colour photographs by Jorge Lewinski. Interview by Bryan Robertson; An exploration of the artist's themes of animals and men; and an exploration of the monumental heads by Peter Shaffer and Brian Phelan. Alex Herbage adds a personal appreciation. Signed on the title page "Elisabeth Frink" and it appears to be inscribed on the front free endpaper by the artists as well " For . with best wishes from Lis". The book is housed in its original slipcase, which has fraying material on the bottom edge. This is a heavy book and will require additional shipping charges. Size: 11 x 12. Signed. Sculpture, Art.
