About this Item

Original ornate blue cloth, with gilt stamped title at front with decorations front and rear. Gilt title at spine still clear. Some edge and corner wear, but overall an attractive copy. ; 24mo 5" - 6" tall; 165 pages; McIntosh was the daughter of Lachlan McIntosh. She was born in Sunbury, Liberty County in 1803 and attended Sunbury Academy but did most of her writing (a series of juvenile, "Aunt Kitty" books) in New Jersey. This book has nice frontispiece with tissue guard intact. Scarce work not listed in Wright. NUC lists only Kent State and Library of Congress; WorldCat lists 6 copies in libraries. Not in DeRenne.
