788pp with 16 colored plates, 1174 illustrations; medium avocado cloth with light avocado endpapers; front cover and spine stamped in black with title and author name; previous owner name discreetly written on upper right of ffep, else no writing in text or on edges; thin line of sunning around lower edges and across spine, virtually undectectable to nonexistent along upper edges and spine; green ribbon sewn in, which has become avocado in color where it extends below lower edge. Glossy yellow dustwrapper with white diagonal band across front cover just above midpoint, with author name and title lettering in black; 5 black and white photos of women caught in various poses of sewing by machine and by hand, knitting, needlework activity; "Revised Edition" printed in black over white at lower left of front cover, with inner pael explaining: "1, 625,000 copies. The present edition has been revised and completed by new chapters, furnished with colored plates and fresh illustrations. Thus modernized the ENCYCLOPEDIA OF NEEDLEWORK will remain the standard reference work, indispensable in every home. RELAX WITH NEEDLEWORK". Thick transparent plastic cover encases dustwrapper, evidently accounting for the excellent condition of yellow dustwrapper; a 1/2" thin red plastic strip adhering to upper and lower edges of plastic cover has been broken near bottom of attachment and serves as additional book mark.
