About this Item

This was a one-owner book, with the PO name neatly printed on FFEP in 1972. Pulbished by the Institute for Race Relations, it considers the reactions of the English to Jewish immigration around the turn of the century as well as immigrants of "colour" - and the role of the left wing in defending them. It also looks more deeply in racial scapegoating for community problems, as well as the role of community perceptions about outsiders. The text is beautifully covered in brown cloth, the DJ is pretty battered along the bottom especially, however, there are no chips. Now protected with a fresh Brodart cover.
