About this title

Amateurs and professionals are provided with detailed authoritative information on the artistic and technical aspects of hand and machine engraving and are offered a selection of lettering styles

About the Author:

A. Brittain was a director of an engraving business in London working for the top jewellers and responsible for some of the highest grade work turned out today. P. Morton also lived in London and was a specialist in lettering and its precise proportioning and layout. These two experts have endeavoured to cover the subject without leaving gaps and the result is a far more comprehensive book than anything done previously. It is a book for the beginner and expert, for professional and non-professional. More than that, it is a source of information that cannot be obtained elsewhere.
