This book is profusely illustrated with 12 woodcut vignettes and 63 out of 64 copper engravings by Francesco Valegio (frontispiece missing). Some age wear on binding with head of spine partly chipped. Corners and edges heavily rubbed. Previous owner's bookplate on inside of front board (Hebrew Union College). Front hinge starting. Title-page partly detached, age-toned and chipped along edges. Abrasions along gutter of very first pages due to removal of pre-existing tape. Very first pages age-toned and foxed. Minor and sporadic age-toning and/or foxing throughout. Text in Italian. Binding in overall fair, interior in fair (first 30 pages) to good+ condition. Nannini Remigio Fiorentino: ( ca 1521- 1581 ). Dominican friar, author of secular and religious works, including Poesie in lode della Madonna , editor , and translator . His translations include the biblical Epistole. USPS Media mail is typically $5 for a book of average weight. Priority mail varies, depending on whether USPS flat-rates are applicable and advantageous for the dimension, weight and distance.

International First Class typically starts at $20. International Priority is typically $35 or less if under four pounds weight, and starts at $40 if over four pounds. International Express is a faster and more expensive option.
