Published by August Busch the 1st in 1914 with the Brewery's favorite master artist, Oscar E. Berninghaus, of Missouri, then Taos New Mexico, among its greatest artists. Original Brown wrappers with color plates by Oscar E. B. of great events in American history, part of murals he had created for the company and various museums. Includes De Soto, Father Marquette, Pierre Laclede, Lewis and Clark, Fremont, and other Western scenes, and then a painting of the Brewery as a finale. Quite rare in this condition, one flawed plate, else fine internally, minor flaw. tatters on the edges yet peitite, and one spot on the cover where a note was removed, small however. All color plates are present and ar suitable for framing, Berninghaus oils on canvas have reached over million dollars many times at auction, making him of the leading Western painters. Size: 4to.
