Description:

Erie Lackawanna In Color Volume 6: The Color Photography of William J. Brennan by John R. Canfield. This Volume, the sixth in the series covering the Erie Lackawanna, covers the mid-60s or the best financial period of the roads troubled 15 plus year history. From 1965 to 1969 except for 1967, the EL enjoyed a positive net income. Freight traffic was generally brisk, new motive power gradually superseded the first-generation diesels and the road made substantial progress in reducing its heavy Passenger Service deficit. Contents: The Hudson River Terminal, pp. 5-24; Erie Lackawanna Action on the E Side, pp. 28-57; Erie Lackawanna Action on the L Side, pp. 61-84; Erie Lackawanna After Dark, pp. 86-95; The Great Viaducts, pp. 96-103; Additional Points of Interest (points West), pp. 104-115; Selected Roster Shots, pp. 116-128. Morning Sun Books, hardcover with dust jacket, 128 pages, 8.5 x 11 x .5 in., all color photographs with captions. Bookseller Inventory # msb1263
