About the Author: Pianist, harpsichordist, percussionist,composer, author and teacher, Sheli Nan, has resided in the Bay Area for over twenty years. "The Music Studio", her teaching studio, has served as the laboratory for the evolution of her musical ideas. She has developed a method of keyboard study utilizing the great teachings from the baroque period to the exciting rhythms of African percussion. Sheli has worked for the San Francisco AIM Program and she has been on the roster for the YOUNG AUDIENCES Program. She has composed, recorded and performed classical and original music extensively on piano and harpsichord and she performed on keyboard and percussion with The World Connection, a Nigerian band, for three years. Sheli has devoted her life to studying and teaching music and to training others.
