Book Description Privately Printed, New York., 1920. First edition. Small octavo. 24 pages. Fourteen black and white drawings in the text by Clara Tice. Wrappers. Ten short stories. Guido Bruno (18841942), dubbed "the Barnum of Bohemia", was one of the Greenwich Village luminaries and published the Bruno Chap Books whose authors included Alfred Kreymborg and Djuna Barnes. He operated from his "Garret on Washington Square" where, for an admission fee, one could observe "genuine Bohemian" artists at work. Covers just a little marked. Very good indeed. Scarce. Foliate cloth over boards with leather spine label gilt. applied paper label. Slight wear at the bottom of the label, and a trifle age-toned, else near fine. Handwritten limitation by Bruno designating this as copy #342 of 1000 copies printed. This copy nicely Inscribed by Bruno: "Though the stories are punk, the drawings are good. I hope you like both of them. N.Y. April 7th, 1920. Guido Bruno." Story like snippets with vignettes of nudes by Tice.
