"This book contains complete data on ethno-medico botanical studies of the "Nishi" and the "Apatani" the most acclaimed aboriginees inhabiting the erstwhile Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh. A detailed account of Subansiri district has been provided with its location and physiography, the river system, the geology and soil, the climate which have a great impact on floristic composition and habitation of aboriginees. These species belong to: Fungi (1); Pteridophytes (7); Gymnosperm (1) and Agniosperms (145) are enumerated alphabetically with latest taxonomic treatment, vernacular names; occurrence, ecological adaptation; early reference of their reported distribution in published floras, monographs and journals; local utilisation in ethnomedicine and established reports for comparison.
