About the Author: Dr. Albert C. Outler (1908-89) was truly an outstanding churchman. During his lengthy career as prophet, theologian and scholar, Outler was Professor of Theology at Yale University and at Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University (Dallas, Texas). A prolific author, he wrote extensively on evangelism, theology, John Wesley, Augustine and others. Born in rural Georgia, Dr. Outler spent his retirement years in Florida.
