About this Item

First edition The author's first book of poems. Three articles tipped in published from Yellow Jacket, April 28, 1967 - one is a review by Robert Perkins titled "A Man With Something To Say and the Wrong Place to Say It"; an article and photograph of R.G. Vliet reading from "Events and Celebrations". The article is called "Poetry by Russell Vliet in C. C. Gold and White Lounge" also by Bob Perkins. There is also an announcement with photograph of R. G. Vliet probably from Yellow Jacket titled "R. G. Vliet to give poetry reading, Tuesday, April 25th". The newspaper clippings, one with a correction in the article about Russell Vliet at C. C. Gold Lounge with a correction to the name Lee Holt is corrected to W. A. Duffy - who is doing the introduction to the reading. SIGNED: Near fine in like dustjacket with very gentle use to head and toe of spine, otherwise text bright throughout. Inscribed with affection and signed in full by Russ Vliet to the opening flyleaf, rare in itself since Vliet rarely signed his books. This text is also filled with notes and marginalia by possibly the poet and recipient, neatly done throughout the text which empowers the reading experience tremendously.
