It shows students how to apply sketching methods, line conventions, and industry standards to solve drawing problems. The book provides instruction on geometric constructions, orthographic views, dimensioning, pictorial drawing, pattern development, and computer-aided drafting (CAD). It introduces students to common drafting tools and the basic applications of CAD. This textbook emphasizes the importance of learning basic manual skills before progressing to CAD applications.
