From the back dj: "Beginning at the bottom, he slowly but surely worked his way to the top, achieving finally the crown for which every bicycle racer yearns - that of World's Champion. His indomitable spirit and fairness won favorable recognition in all parts of the world. Although repeatedly hampered by unfair racing tactics on the part of his opponents because of his color, the Major's superior skill and untiring power inevitably brought him to the tape a victor.".
