Book Description ReInk Books, 2017. Softcover. Condition: NEW. Reprinted from edition. NO changes have been made to the original text. This is NOT a retyped or an ocr'd reprint. Illustrations, Index, if any, are included in black and white. Each page is checked manually before printing. As this reprint is from very old book, there could be some missing or flawed pages, but we always try to make the book as complete as possible. Fold-outs, if any, are not part of the book. If the original book was published in multiple volumes then this reprint is of only one volume, not the whole set. This paperback book is SEWN, where the book block is actually sewn (smythe sewn/section sewn) with thread before binding which results in a more durable type of paperback binding. It can also be open wide. The pages will not fall out and will be around for a lot longer than normal paperbacks. This print on demand book is printed on high quality acid-free paper. Book Description Raphael Tuck & Sons Ltd., London. Hardcover. Condition: Poor. Louis Wain & others (illustrator). Being undated it is difficult to assess the publication date but it must have been in the early years of the twentieth century. Burgundy cloth spine with illustrated paper boards on the front board an illustration of two children together holding a book, one in a red jacket and the other in black with a distinctive conical hat (Puritan style clothing). The boards show considerable wear and there is erosion of the corners. The binding holding the boards to the text block is a little suspect but functional. Owner¿s name on ffp. There are many rather nice illustrations some of which have single colour highlighting. One picture has been hand painted ¿ accurately. There is a frontispiece of children around a snowman and a couple of other full page colour illustrations. The stories are credited to E Tracey Archer, Norman Gale, Grace C Floyd and the editor. The illustrations are by Louis Wain, Rosa C. Petherick and others. Seller Inventory # 002847
