Book is INSCRIBED BY AUTHOR on right FEP in black marker "To_______, For a memorable welcome to Kentucky, (signed) James Norman". Copyright page states "First Edition" without any subsequent printings or number line present, notating Lippincott First Printing in this time period. Book is in NEAR FINE condition with unclipped dustjacket in VERY GOOD+ condition. Book has mauve cloth binding with blind-stamped black floral illustration in horizontal pattern across top 1/2 of front board and bold black lettering and illustration on spine. Book's corners and spine tips are true or gently bumped but not worn with binding and insides tight, bright, clean and unmarked. NO previous owner's or library markings, NO foxing and NOT a book club or remainder edition. DW is covered by Brodart with price point of $3.95 still intact in VERY GOOD+ condition. DW front and rear covers are complete with beige and brown illustrated cover with bold white and brown lettering. DW's spine tips and corners are bumped and worn with tiny (under 1/8") chips at two corners and there are small chips (under 1/4") across tips, and there is mild edge wear around with 3 small repaired tears (2 under 1/2" on top edge of back cover and 1 under 1/4" at bottom of front cover). There is very mild rubbing with one black smudge on bottom of front cover almost camouflaged inside of dark brown illustration.
